Hi guys, I'm a little uncertain about some items in my wiring quotation - is it too expensive or is that the market rate?
1) Switchboard - 1300
2) A/C Wiring + Switch - 250
3) Heater wiring + switch - 150
4) Garden Light using Almat wire - 150
Is the switchboard so expensive?
And what is diff between an A/C wiring/switch vs a Heater wiring/switch? He said he was using some thicker wiring for A/C - but is it necessary? I thought heater/A.C. are the same type of wiring?
Any advice is appreciated! |

A/C and heater should use the same wire (2.5mm2), other wires should be 1.5mm2 at least... Switchboard? I assume is the DB (distribution box), good quality MCB (miniature circuit breaker) can be expensive, look for brands like ABB, Merlin Gerlin (MG), Clipsal, Hager... _________________ BMW, Building Cars People First |

thanks for your advice. my electrician explained a bit - going to use 1.5mm for lighting, and 2.5mm for switches and AC/heater.
he said going to use hager for the DB, not sure if the MCB also hager (i'd assume it is!) and switches also hager. |

DB is just the plastic box, chapalang brand also got... if he sais Hager, most likely he is referring to the MCB... _________________ BMW, Building Cars People First |
